AI Use Policy

Take a peek at our AI policy, where we promise the robots work for us, not instead of us. Because the only thing running wild around here should be the raccoons, not the artificial intelligence.

This AI policy explains how our writers and editors use artificial intelligence at Trav3ln LLC, dba Discover Parks & Wildlife. 

AI can be a helpful teammate. It’s fast, tireless, and oddly polite. But it’s not replacing human creativity, instinct, or expertise. Every word that appears under our writers still has a real human behind it. AI helps us think sharper, write cleaner, and organize smarter, but it never gets the final say.

Our team remains fully accountable for the accuracy, fairness, originality, and quality of every piece we publish. AI outputs are ALWAYS reviewed by us for accuracy. Human eyes, human judgment, and a healthy dose of coffee (or hot chocolate if you are Jenny) always have the last word.

How We Might Use AI

We treat AI like a helpful intern who’s still learning where the stapler is, one who still needs you to hold their hand. The following are possible ways we might use AI:

  • Brainstorm and refine story ideas.
  • Suggest headlines and meta descriptions.
  • Polish grammar and spelling (Grammarly).
  • Create initial article rough outlines and first drafts.
  • Draft first versions of short social captions.
  • Repurpose existing content, like summarizing an article to turn it into a social post.
  • Build templates for ongoing messages and emails.

Please know that while this list seems extensive, not every article uses all of these things. We might only do the grammar check. Or we might only ask for headline ideas. Or if we are in a rut, we might have it do the first draft and the meta description. How much AI we use changes daily and in different ways.

How We Don’t Use AI

Some tasks are strictly off-limits for AI, no matter how many times it offers to “assist”:

  • Verify facts. We humans do all the final verification to make sure all information is accurate and up-to-date.
  • Final drafts of articles. If AI has helped with an initial draft, every article is refined, changed, and reviewed by our writers or editors.
  • Create artwork or photography. We only use licensed images from Shutterstock, Depositphotos, and Canva, or original photos from our writers.

AI and Privacy

We’re serious about privacy: yours, ours, and everyone else’s.

We never enter private or sensitive information (like names, contact details, or identification numbers) into AI tools such as ChatGPT. These platforms store chat transcripts, so anything you type can be logged. If something’s personal, private, or confidential, it stays safely out of AI services.
